Toy Foundation LogoIn 2015, the partnership between the The Toy Foundation and the National CASA Association provided both generous funding for training CASA volunteers and close to 50,000 toys for abused or neglected children. The Toy Foundation continues to be a major partner in the National CASA Association's mission to support and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy so that every abused and neglected child in the United States can be safe, has a permanent home and the opportunity to thrive.

Two successful “Play Your Part” events were hosted in 2015. Both brought Toy Foundation volunteers, CASA volunteers and staff, and foster children together for days of magic.

PLAY YOUR PART - Los Angeles, CA

Toy Industry Foundation Chicago 2015

At this event, hosted by Beverly Hills Moving and Storage, CASA of LA, the National CASA Association and The Toy Foundation, toys were wrapped for more than 7,000 abused and neglected children throughout California. Ten local CASA programs distributed the toys wrapped by Toy Foundation volunteers.

“Play Your Part” was made possible thanks to generous toy donations to the Foundation's Toy Bank, volunteer teams, and sponsorship provided by toy industry companies, including the following “Big Heart” and Specialty event sponsors: Funrise Toy Corporation, JAKKS Pacific, Mattel, Patch Products, TOMY International, and Vtech Electronics North America.

CASA of Cook County, the National CASA Association and The Toy Foundation provided an afternoon of food and fun at the U.S. Cellular field. More than 3,700 toys were given to foster and underprivileged youth in the Chicago area. Not only did the almost 500 youth attending the event benefit from the toy donation, but the remaining toys were distributed via CASA volunteers to more than 1,000 additional foster youth throughout Cook County.

The playthings distributed at the event were kindly donated by 22 manufacturers, retailers and distributors to the Foundation’s Toy Bank. Event sponsors were Beverly Hills Teddy Bear, E Revolution Ventures, Fibre-Craft, LLC, Intertek Hardlines and Product Intelligence, Learning Resources, Mayfair Games, Patch Products, T.S. Shure, and TOMY.
