2017 Pre-Service Volunteer Training Curriculum Version 2 (11/2017)

Across the network, the National CASA Pre-Service Volunteer Training serves as the foundation of which every CASA/GAL volunteer learns the principles of best interest advocacy. Last updated in 2007, a review and revision of the curriculum has been underway throughout the past two years.

The revised curriculum has been developed in close collaboration with the National CASA Curriculum Development Committee to highlight our shared values and build the skills, self-awareness, and points of view necessary for volunteers to be most effective. Some of the member network’s top training talent on the committee brought a disciplined approach to the revision process.  Read more.
