Kappa Alpha Theta FoundationSince 1989, the women of Kappa Alpha Theta have been standing up and speaking up for abused and neglected children through their support of National CASA and CASA programs. For 20 years, Kappa Alpha Theta and its members have made lasting contributions as leaders, financial supporters and passionate ambassadors for the CASA mission.
At our annual conference, National CASA presented the 2010 Kappa Alpha Theta Program Director of the Year Award to Melissa Protzek, executive director of CASA of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, PA. Joining the celebration were (from left) Megan Phillips, president of the Missouri CASA Association; Kimi Martin, vice president of public relations for the fraternity; Melissa Protzek; Wendy Sears Goshert, president of the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation; Katie Bernsen, director of philanthropy for the fraternity; Allie Chang Ray, executive director of CASA of St. Louis County; and Joyce Honeyman, former member of both the National CASA and Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation boards.
